What every Nigerian invoice should include
A proper invoice does more than list a price — it protects you if a client disputes payment, and it's what your accountant needs at tax time. At minimum, a compliant Nigerian invoice should have:
- Your registered business name, address, and contact details
- A unique, sequential invoice number
- The date the invoice was issued and the payment due date
- Your client's name and address
- A clear description of goods or services, with quantity and unit price
- VAT (7.5%) shown separately if you're VAT-registered
- The total amount due and your bank payment details

Is this invoice generator really free?
Yes. You can create, preview, and download as many invoices as you like at no cost and without creating an account. There's no watermark and no limit on the number of invoices.
Can I use this to invoice in Naira (₦)?
Yes, Naira (NGN) is the default currency. You can also switch to USD, GBP, EUR, GHS, KES, ZAR, or CAD for international clients.
Does the invoice include VAT?
Yes. The tax field defaults to Nigeria's standard 7.5% VAT rate, but you can edit it to any percentage or set it to 0% if you're not VAT-registered.
Is my data saved anywhere?
No. Everything you type, including your logo, stays in your browser and is used only to render your preview and PDF. Nothing is uploaded or stored on our servers.
How do I download the invoice as a PDF?
Click "Download / Print PDF". Your browser's print dialog will open — choose "Save as PDF" as the destination to download it, or select a printer to print it directly.
Do I need a registered business to use this?
