What every invoice should include
A proper invoice protects you if a client disputes payment, and it's what your accountant needs at tax time.
- Your registered business name, address and contact details
- A unique, sequential invoice number
- The issue date and the payment due date
- Your client's name and address
- Each item with quantity and unit price
- VAT (7.5%) shown separately if you're VAT-registered
- The total due and your bank details

Is this invoice generator really free?
Yes. You can create, preview, and download as many invoices as you like at no cost and without creating an account. There's no watermark and no limit on the number of invoices.
Can I use this to invoice in Naira (₦)?
Yes, Naira (NGN) is the default currency. You can also switch to USD, GBP, EUR, GHS, KES, ZAR, or CAD for international clients.
Does the invoice include VAT?
Yes. The tax field defaults to Nigeria's standard 7.5% VAT rate, but you can edit it to any percentage or set it to 0% if you're not VAT-registered.
Is my data saved anywhere?
No. Everything you type, including your logo, stays in your browser and is used only to render your preview and PDF. Nothing is uploaded or stored on our servers.
How do I download the invoice as a PDF?
Click "Download / Print PDF". Your browser's print dialog will open — choose "Save as PDF" as the destination to download it, or select a printer to print it directly.
Can I get help on WhatsApp?
Yes. After you download an invoice, tap "Continue on WhatsApp". It opens WhatsApp with a message to FastCAC ready to send, and we help you register your business there. Your invoice stays in your browser: only the fact that you used this tool is shared, and only if you send the message.
Do I need a registered business to use this?
No, anyone can use the generator. That said, invoicing under a registered business name looks more professional to clients and is required to legally charge VAT. If you haven't registered yet, FastCAC can get your business registered with CAC in as little as 24 hours.
