What you need to register.
The name on every document must match the ID exactly. A mismatch is the most common reason CAC queries an application.

For a business name
- NIN for every owner
- A valid ID: NIN slip, international passport, driver's licence or voter's card
- A recent passport photo
- Your signature on plain white paper
- Full name, date of birth, phone, email and home address
- The business address and what the business does
For a limited company, as well
- The same details and documents for every director and shareholder
- A MEMART (the company's constitution)
- Share capital and how the shares are split
- A witness's name and signature
- Any person with significant control

How do I register my business with CAC online?
Check that CAC will accept your name, reserve it, fill in your details and upload your ID, photo and signature, pay CAC's fee through Remita, then wait for a registrar to approve it. You can do it on CAC's portal yourself, pay an agent, or use FastCAC, which checks everything and files it for you.
How much is CAC registration?
CAC's own fees are ₦21,322.50 for a business name and ₦48,822.50 for a limited company with ₦1 million share capital, including stamp duty and Remita charges. An NGO is ₦45,322.50, plus a newspaper notice. With FastCAC you pay one price that includes CAC's fees.
How long does CAC registration take?

Can I register with CAC without an agent?

Do I get a TIN with my CAC registration?
Yes. Your Tax Identification Number is issued with the registration and printed on your CAC certificate.
