Is there a CAC public search API?
Yes. GET /v1/businesses/search searches CAC's register by business name or RC/BN number and returns up to 50 businesses with their number, type, status and registration date. It's free with live and test keys.
How much does the CAC Lookup API cost?
Searching is free. A full lookup is ₦250 from your prepaid wallet. It isn't charged when CAC has no business with the number, and it's refunded when it can't answer.
Does a CAC lookup show directors and shareholders?
A lookup returns the officers: proprietors, directors, secretaries and persons with significant control, with each one's role, status, nationality and appointment date. Dates of birth, ID numbers, phones and home addresses are left out, and shareholdings aren't included.
How do I check a company's information on CAC?
Search its name or RC number in the free search on this page, or from your app with the API. A lookup adds the registered address, email and officers.
