How do I verify a business in Nigeria?
Check its registration number, name and status against CAC's register, and that the people you're dealing with are its officers. POST /v1/businesses/verifications does all of it in one call, and the number, name and status checks are free.
How much does the CAC Verification API cost?
Checking the number, name and status is free. Checking officer names costs ₦200 from your prepaid wallet, refunded when CAC can't answer.
How do I verify a CAC certificate?
Send the registration number and business name on the certificate. A match means CAC's register has that number under that name and lists it as active. You can also search the number by hand on this page.
What happens if a business isn't registered?
The result is not_found. Register it: the CAC Registration API files a Business Name with CAC from your own app, so the applicant can fix it without leaving your flow.
