Questions you may have.
How much is CAC registration in 2026?
₦21,000 for a business name (₦1,000 name reservation and ₦20,000 registration). ₦48,500 for a private limited company with ₦1 million share capital, stamp duty included. ₦45,000 for an NGO, plus a newspaper notice. Remita adds about ₦161 to each payment.
How much is stamp duty for CAC registration?
Stamp duty is 0.75% of a company's authorised share capital, paid at registration. On ₦1 million share capital it's ₦7,500, and it rises by ₦7,500 for each extra ₦1 million. Business names and NGOs don't pay it.
How does share capital change a company's fees?
Registration covers the first ₦1 million of share capital for ₦40,000. Each extra ₦1 million, or part of it, adds ₦10,000 in filing fees on top of the 0.75% stamp duty. So ₦2 million share capital comes to ₦66,000 and ₦5 million to ₦118,500 before Remita charges.
What are the Remita charges?
CAC payments go through Remita, which adds about ₦161.25 per payment. Name reservation and registration are separate payments, so the calculator adds about ₦322.50.
Are these CAC's official fees?
Yes. They are CAC's own fees, not an agent's price. CAC can change them, so the amount on its payment page is final.
Do I need an agent to pay these fees?
No. You can register and pay CAC yourself. FastCAC handles the forms, documents and payments for you in one place, so you don't need an agent.
